Collectible Whisky Worth €5,000 Stolen from Wine Cellar in Paphos
In Paphos, police are investigating the theft of two bottles of collectible whisky valued at €5,000. One of the two suspects has been apprehended on suspicion of committing the crime.
According to Assistant Chief of the Paphos Police Operations Department, Michalis Nikolaou, the theft of the elite alcohol was reported on June 15th. The 46-year-old owner of the wine cellar in Paphos reported that unknown individuals had stolen two collectible whisky bottles worth €5,000 from the storage facility on a specific day.
During the investigation, police received information suggesting that two residents of Limassol, aged 33 and 38, may be involved in the theft.
Arrest warrants were issued against them. The 33-year-old man was spotted in Nicosia the day before. Police arrested him and brought him to Paphos prison. The second suspect is currently being sought. The investigation continues.
