Some Roads in Cyprus Restricted to 4WD Vehicles Due to Ice and Snow
Heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures have disrupted the Troodos mountain road network, leaving some routes accessible only to four-wheel-drive vehicles. Police are urging drivers to be extra cautious, especially on icy sections.
According to a police statement, the following roads are open exclusively to 4WD vehicles or those fitted with snow chains:
- Platres - Troodos
- Karvounas - Troodos
- Prodromos - Troodos
Meanwhile, no major traffic issues have been reported this morning, February 12, on highways or urban roads.
