Schools Closed in Cyprus Due to Heavy Snowfall
Several schools in Cyprus's mountainous regions are closed on Thursday, February 6, due to heavy snowfall and freezing conditions.
According to the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, the following secondary schools remain closed:
- Apetio High School in Agros
- Mitsis Commercial School in Lemithou
For primary education, the closures include:
- Kindergartens in Pano Platres, Moniatis, Agros, Kyperounta, Pelendri, and Moutoullas
- Primary schools in Agros, Kyperounta, and Pelendri
Authorities have also reminded drivers that due to snow and icy roads, some routes are only accessible to 4x4 vehicles or cars fitted with snow chains.
