Cypriot Concrete Producers End Strike
The Cyprus Association of Ready-Mix Concrete Producers has decided, in an extraordinary general meeting, to halt the strike and not resume it.
In their statement, the Association urges its members to recommence services to the construction industry starting Tuesday, in an effort to address the issues caused by the protest action.
At the same time, the Association is calling on trade unions to take responsibility and end the strikes in order to swiftly restore normalcy in the market and begin dialogue with the authorities.
“We are ready to engage in negotiations in good faith, under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor, within a new framework for discussions,” the statement says.
Additionally, the Association urges all parties involved to “act respectfully and civilly, considering the needs of both those wishing to work and those who have chosen to strike.”
