Cyprus Red Cross to Send 2,500 “Love Packages” to Families in Need for Easter
The Cyprus Red Cross is preparing to deliver 2,500 “Love Packages” to support vulnerable families across the island in time for Easter. This marks the 12th year of the initiative, which is made possible through the help of local Red Cross branches and the Youth Board of Cyprus.
Each package will contain essential items to help families celebrate the holiday with dignity.
The parcels will include 25 types of dry food items such as legumes, pasta, milk, oil, canned goods, and other staples traditionally used in Easter meals. Dozens of volunteers will help put the packages together, in cooperation with the local education department, which will coordinate their distribution to students in need and others supported by the Red Cross.
“Thanks to our volunteers and everyone who contributed, over 2,500 families will be able to celebrate Easter this year,” said Cyprus Red Cross Secretary General Marios Argyrides.
Donations to the campaign can be made via the organization’s official website.
