Cultural program for February 24: exhibitions, lectures, theater productions, and cinema

On February 24 in Cyprus, a student exhibition on Lefkara lace is planned in Larnaca, along with a lecture on European identity, theater productions in Limassol and Larnaca, and several exhibitions and film screenings in Nicosia and other cities.

In Larnaca, at Salina Park (formerly the Police Chief’s residence), the Lefkart VIII exhibition opens at 18:00, organized by the Foundation for Cultural Creativity for Children and Youth and the Larnaca Archive. The authors are students inspired by Lefkara lace; information at 24001502. At the House of Letters and Arts — Famagusta Municipal Cultural Center, a lecture titled "European Identity and Greek Culture" will be held at 19:30 as part of the Zenon Free University program; the speaker is Dr. Natassa Constantinidou. In Limassol, at the Rialto Theatre at 20:30, DENTRO Theatre and Open Arts present Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie," directed by Thanasis Georgiou; starring Sofia Kalli, Andreas Koutsoubas, Maria Constantinou, and Stavros Dimopoulos. In Larnaca, at the G. Lykourgos Municipal Theatre at 20:00, George Tsiakkas’ comedy "Here We Say SOS" is showing, directed by Marina Vrondi (tickets via Sold Out Tickets).

Several exhibitions are open in Nicosia: Gloria Gallery (until March 10), Alpha C.K. Gallery (until February 27, works by Stelios Votsis), Diatopos Art Centre (until March 13), and the State Museum of Contemporary Art (SPEL) with the group exhibition "Agropoiitiki: Soils/Bodies" (until June 30). At the Municipality Square, the site-specific installation by Maurice Cazzolli "Water Movement Nicosia" is on display (until June 30).

New releases are showing at RIO Cinemas (Nicosia Mall and Limassol); in Nicosia, the Pantheon Theatre has screenings of "Marty Supreme" on February 24 and 25 at 20:30. Details and tickets on organizers' websites and theater box offices.
