Quad Bike Falls into the Sea from 90-Meter Cliff at Aphrodite's Baths
Over the weekend in Cyprus, a rented quad bike plunged into the sea from a 90-meter cliff at Aphrodite's Baths. Fortunately, the driver and passenger fell onto the road before the vehicle went over the edge and survived.
According to the police press service, the accident occurred on Sunday at around 3:45 PM in Loutro tou Aphroditis. A 22-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were riding a rented quad bike on a rural dirt road from Fontana Amorosa. Near the Kakkoskalio area, the driver lost control, causing the four-wheeled vehicle to overturn. The driver and passenger fell onto the road, while the quad bike fell off the cliff into the sea.
Both individuals were transported by ambulance to Polis Chrysochous Hospital and later transferred to the emergency department of Paphos General Hospital.
Fortunately, they only sustained minor scratches and were discharged after receiving first aid. It is noted that both were wearing protective helmets.
