Marathon in Larnaca: Key city roads to be closed from November 14 to 16

Larnaca is preparing to host the 8th Radisson Blu International Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, November 16. In connection with this, city authorities announced temporary closures from Friday, November 14 (21:00) to Sunday, November 16 (18:00).
Main traffic restrictions:
- Athinon Avenue (Finikoudes Promenade) will be closed from 21:00 on November 14 to 18:00 on November 16. Traffic is allowed only for commercial and delivery vehicles, which may enter on Saturday, November 15, from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. to supply shops via Filiou Zannetou Street.
- On Sunday, November 16, from 06:00 to 13:30, the following roads will be closed: Athinon Avenue, Zinonos Kitieos Street, Zinonos Pierides Street, Ermou Street (partially), Nikolaou Rossou Street, Mehmet Ali Street, Oum Haram Street, as well as Piale Pasha Avenue and Tassos Mitsopoulos Avenue.
- Traffic on Artemidos Avenue will be restricted — one lane will become two-way. Sections from Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque to Airport Roundabout, including Pyrgos Control Tower Roundabout, will be closed.
- From 06:00 to 11:00, traffic will be blocked on Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, Tassos Papadopoulos Avenue, and Dimitris Christofias Avenue — up to Dekelia Road (B3). Access from Voroklini Fire Station Roundabout to Livadia (American University) Roundabout will also be temporarily restricted.
- Additionally, from 06:00 to 13:15, the section of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue up to the intersection with Archbishop Kyprianou Avenue will be closed.
Larnaca authorities urge drivers to plan routes in advance, avoid the city center on Sunday morning, and follow police instructions.
