SCAMMERS SELL LOST LUGGAGE FROM LARNACA AIRPORT FOR 2.99 EUROS
A new type of fraud has been identified in Cyprus: unknown persons posted on the Internet on behalf of Larnaca Airport an advertisement for the sale of lost luggage for 2.99 euros. The police have already been warned about the actions of the attackers.
The airport's fake Facebook page calls on netizens to buy allegedly lost luggage and its contents at Larnaca airport.
- Our airport management has decided to get rid of customer luggage that has been lost over the past 6 months, selling the luggage for only 2.99 euros. To place an order, click on the advertisement button, says messages published on a page called “Larnaca Airport”.
AlphaNews.Live contacted a representative of the Cyprus airport management company Hermes Airports, who stated that the incident was being monitored by the company. Relevant complaints have already been filed with the competent law enforcement agencies.
