Yeroskipou Municipality Receives Two “Green City of Cyprus” Awards
The Municipality of Yeroskipou has been honoured with two awards within the framework of the “Green City of Cyprus” initiative, recognising its contribution to sustainable development and environmental protection.
The first award, in the category “Water Resources Management,” was granted for the project “Use of Recycled Water from the Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant,” which promotes the efficient reuse of treated water.
The second award, in the category “Green Areas – Urban Biodiversity,” was presented for the project “Maintenance and Enhancement of Green Spaces with New Trees and Plants in the Coastal Area of Yeroskipou during a Period of Drought.”
With this distinction, the Municipality of Yeroskipou automatically becomes a member of the Network of Green Cities and Communities, established by the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education.
