Man in Hood Opens Fire at Café in Larnaca
A shooting incident occurred at a café in Larnaca last night. A man wearing a hood fired four shots at the café's glass window.
According to the police press office, the incident took place around 9:30 PM. Eyewitnesses reported a total of four shots. Police officers arrived at the scene. During the investigation and inspection of the surveillance system, it was determined that the shots at the glass facade of the building were fired by a person wearing a hood that covered their face.
It is known that there were people inside the café at the time of the shooting. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the attack. The café owner stated that he has no suspects who could have carried out the shooting at his establishment.
The police believe that the perpetrator's aim was to intimidate rather than harm anyone, as the shots were fired at the glass window of the building rather than at people in the area.
Examination showed that the shots were fired from a pistol. The incident site was cordoned off and guarded throughout the night. This morning, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Headquarters continued the investigations.
