Two Power Units Fail at Vasilikos Power Station
A technical failure occurred last night at the Vasilikos Power Station in Cyprus. Although the malfunction caused a decrease in electricity production, it did not affect consumer demand.
According to the Cyprus Transmission System Operator (TSO), the issue arose early Thursday morning at 1:12 AM, when two power units, ESK40 and ESK42, went offline.
The TSO's statement reassured the public that the incident did not disrupt electricity supply to consumers. No power outages were reported overnight.
