Emir of Qatar Arrives in Cyprus for One-Day Visit
On Monday, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, arrived in Cyprus for a one-day visit.
During his visit, the Emir of Qatar will meet with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, to discuss bilateral relations, regional events, the Amalthea initiative for humanitarian aid to Gaza, as well as the Cyprus issue and Qatar's relations with the European Union.
Upon his arrival on the island, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will be greeted by Nicos Anastasiades at Larnaca Airport, followed by an informal meeting.
On Tuesday, the emir will proceed to the Presidential Palace for an official meeting ceremony, followed by negotiations between the leaders of the two countries and extensive consultations between their delegations. Later, the President of Cyprus will host a lunch in honor of the emir. The same day, the sheikh will depart from the island.
