Small Earthquake Shakes Cyprus on April 1
A mild earthquake was recorded in Cyprus on the morning of April 1, with tremors felt in the Limassol and Paphos areas.
According to preliminary data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the quake struck at approximately 06:17 AM—though some reports place it closer to 07:20 AM.
Early assessments indicate that the epicenter of the 3.5-magnitude earthquake was located offshore, 18 km southeast of Paphos, at a depth of about 13 km.
Residents in Limassol and other parts of the island also reported feeling the tremors.
There have been no reports of injuries or structural damage.
