On March 21st, brief rains and thunderstorms are expected in Cyprus
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, March 21st, the region continues to be influenced by weak low pressure.
Today, in the first half of the day, there will be a local increase in cloudiness, with brief rains possible in the west, and later in the northeastern regions, isolated rains and thunderstorms are expected.
According to the meteorological forecast, during the day, the air temperature will reach up to 20°C in the inland areas, southwest, and on the western coast, around 21 degrees on the remaining coasts, and up to 8°C in mountainous areas.
By evening, there will be partial increased cloudiness at first, possibly with isolated downpours mainly on the northern coast, but later the weather will become predominantly clear.
The air temperature will drop to approximately 8°C in the inland areas, to 9 degrees on the southern and eastern coasts, to 10°C on the western coast, to 12°C on the northern coast, and to 2°C in mountainous areas, where local frosts are expected.
It is expected that by Saturday, the air temperature will gradually decrease slightly below average climatic values.
