Cyprus Weather Update for June 28: Heat Continues Up to 40°C
According to the Republic of Cyprus Meteorological Department, on Friday, June 28, the region remains under the influence of seasonal low pressure.
The weather will be mostly clear in the first half of the day, with increased cloudiness expected in some areas during the second half.
The Meteorological Service forecasts that today's air temperature will rise to 40°C in the interior regions, 32°C on the west coast, 34°C on the rest of the coast, and around 33°C in the mountainous areas.
By evening, the weather will be mostly clear. In the morning hours, locally thin fog and low cloudiness may form.
The air temperature will drop to 23°C inland and on the coast, and to 20°C in the mountainous areas.
Over the weekend, periods of increased cloudiness are expected, which may result in isolated showers mainly in the mountains and inland during the afternoon and morning. On Monday, the weather will be mostly clear.
On Saturday, the air temperature will drop to values close to or slightly above average, and by Monday it will rise slightly.
