In Cyprus: where to spend spring — festival calendar April–June
A series of spring festivals will take place in Cyprus in April and May: the 9th Citrus Blossom Festival in Episkopi village (Limassol district) on April 4–5, the traditional "Voices and Memories" festival in Paralimni (throughout April), and the 7th Artichoke Festival in Kiti on April 26. The events are aimed at families, locals, and visitors to the island.
The 9th Citrus Blossom Festival will be held at Eleftheria Square in Episkopi village — on Saturday from 15:00 to 19:30 and on Sunday from 10:30 to 17:00. Saturday's program features a concert by renowned traditional singer Michalis Terlikkas with the Mousa ensemble; on Sunday, the group Ta Sgartilia will perform. Games, workshops, and citrus-based treats are also planned.
The Paralimni–Deryneia Municipality, in collaboration with the Cultural Academy of Saint Epiphanius, is hosting the traditional culture festival "Voices and Memories" throughout April: free live music, workshops, folklore stories, and "Human Library" events in the courtyard of Saint George’s Church; the program includes a concert on Easter Sunday at 20:00 and traditional games on Easter Monday. Details are available on the municipality's website (www.pdm.org.cy).
The 7th Artichoke Festival in Kiti will take place on April 26 at Archangel Michael Square from 16:00; dishes featuring artichokes will be presented: pizza, sushi, meatballs, dolma, koupes, ttavas, pasta, and desserts. Expected in May: the Donkey Festival at Golden Donkey Farm, Skarinou — May 1; the 3rd Snail Festival in Tersefanou — May 10; the 15th Pancyprian Strawberry Festival in Deryneia — May 29; and an accordion festival — June 5–7.
