Water supply in Larnaca, Nicosia, and Famagusta to be reduced for three days
The Water Development Department has announced that from February 17 to 19, the supply of drinking water in the Larnaca, Nicosia, and Famagusta districts of Cyprus will be reduced.
The reduction is due to scheduled maintenance work on the Dhekelia desalination plant.
The Department notes that in cooperation with all relevant agencies, every effort will be made to manage the available water volumes optimally and satisfy the water supply needs of the three districts to the greatest extent possible.
Residents are advised to limit water use to what is absolutely necessary during this period and avoid any excessive consumption.
The authorities emphasize that the effective and careful use of water will significantly assist in addressing the current water deficit problem.
The Department thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
