Checks of children's toys before Easter began in Cyprus
The Consumer Protection Service has launched a large-scale inspection campaign to check children's toys ahead of the Easter holidays in Cyprus.
Inspections will run until Easter and cover more than 115 shops across the country. Inspectors will check toys for compliance with safety requirements and EU standards. Dangerous or non-compliant goods will be withdrawn from sale.
The department emphasized that the main goal of the campaign is to strengthen consumer protection, especially for children, as well as to inform sellers about safety rules and their legal obligations.
In addition, the service published an information brochure "Easter Tips" on its website, which explains how to prevent common holiday injuries. The brochure "Danger of Small Objects" also remains available, explaining to parents how to recognize items that pose a choking risk to children under three years of age.
For additional information, consumers and entrepreneurs can contact the regional offices of the service.
