Online Platform for Student Aid Applications to Open in Cyprus from October 27
Starting from October 27, 2025, Cyprus will launch the electronic platform of the Independent Social Support Authority (Ανεξάρτητος Φορέας Κοινωνικής Στήριξης), where students will be able to apply for financial assistance for the 2025–2026 academic year. The application period will remain open until November 27.
Applications must be submitted online through the official website www.faith.gov.cy (the address will also be available on the Ministry of Education’s portal). To access the system, students must register using Cy Login, after which they can fill out the electronic form with personal details, place of study, and family financial information.
Applicants must attach the following supporting documents:
- certificate of family income for the previous year;
- document confirming student status (e.g. university certificate);
- academic transcript (for students beyond their first year);
- copy of ID card or passport;
- proof of residence in Cyprus.
The Ministry of Education urges students to apply as early as possible to avoid heavy platform traffic in the final days.
The aim of the program is to support students from low-income families and ensure equal access to education. The financial aid is part of the government’s strategy to reduce social inequality and promote social cohesion.
