A weak cyclone is temporarily affecting the weather conditions in Cyprus: during the night and the coming days, rain is expected, with possible thunderstorms in places and a drop in temperature.

Tonight, in the western and northern regions, increased cloud cover and isolated short showers are forecast. In other areas, the weather will be mostly clear with variable clouds. Winds will blow from the southwest and northwest, light to moderate, 3–4 Beaufort, and on leeward coasts moderate, 4 Beaufort. The sea will range from calm to slightly rough on the eastern coast and slightly rough elsewhere. Night temperatures: around 18 °C inland, around 19 °C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 21 °C on the western and northern coasts, and around 14 °C in the highlands.

Tomorrow, variable clouds are expected in places; in the west and north, isolated showers are possible, mainly in the morning. Winds will strengthen by midday and become generally moderate to strong, 4–5 Beaufort, and temporarily very strong in the south, 5–6 Beaufort. The sea will become from slightly to rough. Daytime maximums: around 30 °C inland, around 27 °C on the western and northern coasts, around 29 °C on other coasts, and around 22 °C in the mountains.

Tomorrow night, the weather will be mostly clear, with locally increased clouds; winds will weaken to 3–4 Beaufort, and the sea will remain slightly rough. On Wednesday, local short showers are possible and in the mountains an isolated thunderstorm. On Thursday and Friday, temporary increases in cloudiness may lead to isolated showers, mainly in the mountainous areas and the eastern half of the island. Temperatures will remain close to the seasonal average until Friday.
