Cyprus switches to winter time on Sunday night

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, October 26, 2025, Cyprus will switch to winter time. At 04:00 a.m., clocks should be set back one hour — to 03:00 a.m.
Thus, residents of the island will be able to sleep one hour longer, and from this day onward, sunrises and sunsets will occur earlier.
The clock change is carried out annually in accordance with the EU directive on seasonal time, adopted by all member states of the European Union. In Cyprus, the transition is regulated by a decree of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, published in the “Official Gazette of the Republic” in July 2021.
Authorities urge residents to check the time on household devices, phones, and computers in advance to avoid confusion on Sunday morning. Experts also remind that the change in schedule may affect well-being and sleep, so it is recommended to gradually adapt to the new rhythm over several days.
