Cyprus Investigates Series of Burglaries Worth €7 Million

An investigation continues in Cyprus into an organized group suspected of a series of thefts from high-end homes.
Three suspects — men aged 49, 48, and 39 of Georgian origin — will appear again before the Limassol District Court. Police intend to extend their remand as the investigation is ongoing.
According to police data, the group may be involved in approximately 40 cases of theft and break-ins at luxury houses and apartments.
During the investigation, it was discovered that part of the stolen property was sent in a container to Thessaloniki. In cooperation with Greek authorities, the cargo was inspected, and items presumably linked to these crimes were found.
The value of the stolen goods is estimated at over €7 million. Among the items found are jewelry, gold, expensive watches, designer bags, and large amounts of cash.
The investigation is ongoing.
