17-Year-Old Student Dies from Meningitis in Cyprus
A 17-year-old boy has died in Cyprus after being hospitalized with meningitis at Nicosia General Hospital’s intensive care unit. He had spent the last two weeks in critical condition.
The young man was admitted to the hospital around two weeks ago, where doctors diagnosed him with bacterial meningitis and sepsis.
In the days leading up to his death, his condition remained critical, and doctors worked tirelessly to save his life. Despite their efforts, he tragically passed away this morning.
It’s also worth noting that two other cases of bacterial meningitis have been reported in recent days: one involving a high school student in Limassol and the other a baby in Paphos.
