Brutal Murder of Mother of Two Children Occurs in Cyprus
This morning, a brutal murder of a Bulgarian native occurred in the Republic of Cyprus. The mother of two minors was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband.
According to the police press office, the tragedy took place around 10:30 a.m. in the community of Tremithousa, near Paphos. The victim of the murder was a 40-year-old woman of Bulgarian origin, the mother of two underage children.
Police have received statements from neighbors indicating that the deceased woman was fatally stabbed by her 44-year-old husband, who then threw her body off the balcony of their residence in the housing complex where the family lived.
Police officers arrived at the scene and determined that there was a conflict between the couple before the murder, which escalated into a physical altercation.
Allegedly, neighbors attempted to prevent the tragedy by calling the police around 10:00 a.m. to report a domestic dispute.
The injured woman was transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital, where attending physicians pronounced her dead upon arrival.
The suspect, the father of the family, was also taken to the hospital with various injuries.
