“Today, the mobile application ‘SafeCY’ was launched, enabling citizens to find the nearest shelter in real time whenever necessary. The app is available for Android devices (via PlayStore) and iOS (via AppStore), in Greek and English.
With the app, citizens can locate the nearest shelters in their area, and there is also the option to search for shelters in other ways, such as by address, postal code, etc. The application also includes guidelines and useful information to better inform the public.
The ‘SafeCY’ app leverages modern technology to enhance the population’s early warning system. The development and operation of the app reflect the state’s goals to strengthen civil protection, especially in emergencies where immediate information is required.”
