Viral Video Shows Attack on Food Delivery Driver in Limassol
A disturbing video has gone viral on social media, capturing a man in Limassol verbally abusing and humiliating a food delivery driver. The footage quickly spread across platforms, shocking viewers.
In the video, titled "Limassol Today," a Greek Cypriot man can be seen shouting at the foreign delivery driver in both English and Greek.
The man allegedly accuses the driver of damaging his car and demands an immediate payment of €400 to cover the cost of the damage. The situation escalates when the man grabs the driver's navigation tablet and hits him in the face with it. Shockingly, none of the bystanders or witnesses in the area stepped in to stop the incident.
The confrontation ended when another foreign delivery driver stopped and threatened to call the police. At this point, the aggressive man got into his car and drove away, taking the navigation tablet with him.
The police have confirmed they are investigating the incident through the Department of Minor Offenses.
In recent months, the number of crimes targeting delivery drivers in Cyprus has been on the rise, with Limassol seeing the most incidents. Several victims have reported being physically assaulted. Many of these attacks are suspected to have racial motivations.
Since last week, three robberies targeting delivery drivers have been reported: one in Larnaca and two in Limassol.
