Yellow weather warning in Cyprus for severe thunderstorms and hail

The Meteorological Service has issued a yellow warning for Sunday: from 05:00 to 18:00 the island will be periodically affected by heavy rain and thunderstorms — first in the west, and later in other regions. Localised hail, sudden strong winds and downpours of 35–55 mm per hour are expected.
The department urges drivers and pedestrians to exercise extra caution: local flooding, reduced visibility and difficult road conditions are possible, especially in coastal and mountainous areas.
