Night fire occurred on the territory of an abandoned building in Limassol
The fire department was alerted early in the morning following a report of a fire in the Linopetra area of Limassol.
According to rescuers, a call was received around 03:52 regarding a fire in a pile of discarded materials — wooden pallets and car tires — located on the grounds of an abandoned building.
Firefighters from St. Nicholas station arrived promptly at the scene and managed to contain the fire by approximately 04:34.
According to preliminary data, it is not ruled out that the fire was set intentionally by unknown persons. The circumstances of the incident and the exact causes of the fire are being investigated by competent authorities.
