November at Rialto Theatre: concerts, premieres and festivals in Limassol

Rialto Theatre in Limassol has presented a rich November programme including concerts, theatre performances, festivals and choreographic projects.
The month will begin with a jubilee concert of the ESTIA Cultural Association dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Dreams choir. The programme includes performances by the Dreams women’s and children’s choirs, as well as soloist and conductor Elena Solea. A ten-member orchestra will be conducted by Konstantinos Zorpas.
On November 4 and 5 audiences will enjoy the comedy show “Pss Pss” by the Swiss troupe Compagnia Baccalà, winner of 14 international awards including Cirque Du Soleil. The silent-film-style production has been performed over 700 times in 50 countries.
On November 7 the theatre will host a music-theatre evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of composer Mikis Theodorakis. Among the participants are singers Spiros Charalambous and Andria Souroula, pianist and conductor Michalis Grigoriou, the mixed choir of the Epilogi Cultural Movement and an orchestra.
November 14–16 Rialto will host the 25th Cyprus Choreography Platform, presenting 13 new works by local choreographers. Parallel events will take place under the “Dance Throughout the Year” programme organised by Dance House Lemesos.
On November 17, 18, 24 and 25 the theatre will stage “Calendar Girls” by Tim Firth. The production by Giorgos Siakkas is based on a true story and features renowned Cypriot actors including Elena Eftastiu and Christina Pavlidou.
On November 19 the stage will feature a Greek adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” titled “Happy Holidays, Mr Scrooge”. Directed by Andreas Telemachou, it is designed for family audiences.
On November 20 the theatre will present the musical-dramatic production “Agyristo Kefali” (“Stubborn Head”) based on the book by Miltos Paschalidis. Actor Giorgos Evagorou will tell the story of the musician’s friendship with poet Alkis Alkaios, accompanied by a live orchestra.
On November 21 — “Reflections of Memories”, a concert combining music, poetry and dance in honour of the 38th anniversary of the Melody vocal ensemble from Limassol.
On November 26 spectators will see “Milk” by Vasilis Katsikonouris, staged by Lexi Theatre — a drama about love, self-sacrifice and human limits.
November 28–29 the theatre will host the sixth FlashArt Festival, born from a programme of the same name. The event will feature interdisciplinary performances, cooperation with Queer Wave and Goethe-Institut Cyprus, and works by Cypriot directors and artists.
On November 30 the month will close with “El Pulso Secreto” — a musical and dance journey through Spanish, Greek and Latin American melodies. Pianist Manolis Neophytou and choreographer Filippa Stylianou will bring flamenco energy and live improvisation to the stage.
