Wizz Air Cyprus Office Alerts Passengers About Global Outage
The Cyprus office of the budget airline Wizz Air reported on Friday that the company is facing "significant technical issues" due to a global outage affecting third-party IT systems worldwide.
According to the airline's statement, the outage has disrupted various services, including the Wizz Air website, mobile app, booking system, online check-in, and call centers.
"Wizz Air customers may experience network disruptions as the website and mobile app are temporarily unavailable," the statement noted.
While online services are offline, Wizz Air is offering free check-in at the airport. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport no later than three hours before their scheduled departure.
"We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers as we address the global IT system outage. The Wizz Air team is working diligently to minimize disruptions," the airline said.
There is no specified timeline for when the issues will be resolved. This follows a global technical disruption reported on Friday, July 19.
