Paphos Prepares for Mass Celebrations on Green Monday
A festive mood prevails in Paphos today as everything is ready for the mass celebrations of Green Monday. Weather permitting, beaches, fields, and open areas in Faros, Geroskipou, and other districts will be filled from the morning with residents and tourists who, by tradition, fly kites and have picnics.
While the city greeted the morning with sun and light cloud cover, meteorologists warn of possible precipitation. Those who do not wish to risk a trip to the countryside can spend the day at the cafes along the Kato Paphos waterfront, where a large influx of visitors is also expected.
