Paphos to receive new weekly flights from Germany for summer 2026
Paphos will significantly strengthen air connectivity with Germany in summer 2026 through an increase in Ryanair flights and the launch of regular Lufthansa services from Munich, the Paphos Regional Tourism Board reported.
Ryanair will operate nine inbound weekly flights from four German airports to Paphos International Airport. Berlin Brandenburg, Cologne and Düsseldorf will each receive two weekly flights, while Memmingen will have three weekly flights.
Lufthansa will connect Munich with Paphos with three regular weekly flights in the summer 2026 season, expanding travel options for visitors from Germany and other markets connected to the airline’s network.
“Strengthening air connectivity with Germany is of strategic importance for the Paphos region,” said Nasos Hadjigeorgiou, Director of the Paphos Regional Tourism Board. According to him, the new and increased flights create prospects for tourism growth, extension of the tourist season, attraction of higher-quality visitors and strengthening of the local economy.
The Board noted that out of approximately 75 million outbound trips from Germany, Cyprus attracts about 250,000 arrivals (0.33%), while Crete attracts 1.6 million, Rhodes 1 million and Mallorca 4.3 million. In response, the Board plans to participate in the Munich 2026 exhibition, adapt its digital campaign for the German market and invite German journalists, bloggers and tourism industry professionals.
