Cypriots to Receive Early Government Benefits Before Easter
In Cyprus, all major government benefits will be paid out early to ease the financial burden during the Easter period when expenses traditionally rise.
According to social welfare services, the decision aims to help vulnerable groups cover seasonal costs.
As part of a coordinated effort by the Department of Social Welfare, the Social Benefits Management Service, and the Department of Social Integration for People with Disabilities, both regular and special benefits will be distributed early.
According to the official statement:
-
The Guaranteed Minimum Income will be deposited into recipients' accounts on Monday.
-
The monthly state assistance allowance will be processed on Tuesday, and checks will be available for collection or cashing between April 11 and April 15.
-
The final round of early payments will take place on April 16, covering several support programs, including:
-
An Easter grant for low-income pensioners;
-
Child allowances for families with three or more children;
-
Assistance for single parents;
-
Honorary allowances for World War II veterans and widows.
