Police in Cyprus are investigating a video of intimate acts involving a 14-year-old schoolboy and his sister.
The Cyprus Police are conducting an investigation following the emergence of a video in which a 14-year-old schoolboy filmed intimate acts with his own sister and distributed the file among classmates. The incident came to light when one of the students showed the recording to teachers; the school administration notified the Department of Education, which then alerted the police.
Investigators interviewed the teenagers, their families, classmates, and teachers. According to media reports, the file was found in a private group on a social network. Earlier speculation suggested possible use of artificial intelligence technologies to forge the video, but verification confirmed the recording’s authenticity. A medical examination confirmed the girl’s intimate activity; however, experts found no signs of coercion.
Police obtained a warrant to search the home of one of the relatives, but it was revoked following an appeal to the Supreme Court. The investigation continues: authorities are gathering additional evidence and testimonies to establish all circumstances of the case.
For Cypriot residents, this underscores the importance of monitoring minors’ digital safety and promptly informing schools and law enforcement in cases involving the distribution of such material. According to investigators, official inspections and cooperation with educational institutions are ongoing.
