Police Warn of Fraudulent "Job Vacancies" on Social Media
Cyprus Police are urging citizens to be vigilant following reports of fraudulent mailings on social media.
According to law enforcement, scammers are sending random users messages with "high-paying job" offers, supposedly on behalf of well-known and legal companies.
The goal of the scammers is to convince recipients to:
- transfer money;
- provide personal data;
- click on suspicious links.
Police recommend not responding to such offers, not opening unknown links, and not sharing personal or financial information with third parties.
