Police Investigating Threats Against Cyprus' President
The police in Cyprus are currently investigating threats made against President Nikos Christodoulides.

According to law enforcement officials, the investigation is being conducted in coordination with other state authorities. The president has confirmed the incident and expressed complete trust in the authorities handling the matter.
"As the president has stated, he fully trusts the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus," the police said in an official statement.
Details of the case are being kept confidential for the time being, in the interest of the investigation. It has not been disclosed whether any suspects have been identified, nor if any interrogations have taken place.
The threats against the president were reportedly received over the past weekend. Following the notification, searches were conducted at the state prison, involving both police officers and prison guards.
As a result, a television and a laptop were seized from one of the cells. In addition, a mobile phone and charger were found in the staff restrooms of the Central Prison.
