A Permanent Visitor to Cyprus from Sweden Named Tourism Ambassador in Ayia Napa
A permanent visitor to the Republic of Cyprus from Sweden has been awarded the title of 'Tourism Ambassador of Ayia Napa.' For the past 25 years, the man has spent his vacation annually at the popular Cypriot resort.
According to a statement published by the Ayia Napa Municipality on Wednesday, the award recipient is Nils Uwe Hallin.
In the Municipal Hall of Ayia Napa, the resort's permanent guest was honored by the representative of the municipality's cultural department, Maria Tofini Tsantila, who presented the Swedish traveler with a commemorative plaque and a 'Tourism Ambassador' badge. She also expressed gratitude to the guest on behalf of the Mayor of Ayia Napa for his numerous visits and preference for this area.
In conclusion, the municipality representative noted that from now on, the city considers him 'not just a visitor, but a citizen of Ayia Napa.'
