Fire in the parking lot under a residential building in Nicosia

On Sunday evening, a fire broke out in the underground parking garage of a residential building in Nicosia, resulting in damage to three vehicles.
According to the official spokesperson of the fire service, Andreas Kettis, the alarm was received at around 19:23. Firefighting teams promptly arrived at the scene, localized the fire, and prevented it from spreading to other vehicles and building structures.
One of the cars sustained serious damage, while the other two were partially affected, mainly the paintwork and the front sections.
For safety reasons, the building residents were evacuated; there were no casualties. After the fire was fully extinguished, the building was inspected, and no further fire threat was detected.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Police and the fire service continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
