Fire at factory in Moni: extinguishing efforts continue, neighbouring facilities protected
A fire broke out at midday on Tuesday at a factory in Moni, Cyprus; Fire Service units were dispatched to the scene. According to the service, firefighting operations are ongoing.
Fire Service spokesperson Andrea Ketti stated that the blaze is largely contained inside the building and is burning through thick layers of polyurethane panels. Extinguishing is being carried out using water and foam agents.
Fire crews secured the nearby factories, preventing further spread of the flames. According to the service, there is no longer an immediate threat of the fire expanding.
