Fire at a fast-food restaurant in Larnaca: employee injured, ambulance called
A fire broke out at a fast-food restaurant in the Agios Lazaros area of Larnaca around 10:30 a.m. on October 16. Due to smoke, employees and visitors had to be evacuated. One woman suffered minor injuries while trying to leave the premises and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
According to the Fire Service, the fire started in the establishment’s chimney, after which the smoke spread throughout the premises. Fire units, ambulance, and police were on site. Firefighters focused on extinguishing the fire completely and ventilating the area.
The police ensured safety and monitored traffic in the area. According to rescuers, the injured person is a fast-food employee; her injuries are considered minor. No other casualties were reported.
Residents of Larnaca and those passing through the area should be aware of possible temporary traffic restrictions and the presence of emergency services until the fire aftermath is fully cleared.
