An elderly man died in a car accident in Cyprus
Another fatal road accident occurred in Cyprus. Over the weekend, an elderly man died after being hit by a car.
According to the police press service, the tragedy occurred on Sunday evening, around 10:00 p.m. 61-year-old Michael Polycarpou was hit by a car while walking in Kokkinotrimithia on Grigori Afxentiou Avenue.
The injured man was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
It is known that the driver of the car was a 45-year-old. He was detained and released after questioning. The investigation into the fatal road accident is ongoing.
