Man Arriving from Israel to Be Extradited to Russia Following Arrest at Larnaca Airport
A 38-year-old man who arrived in Cyprus from Israel has been arrested at Larnaca Airport and is scheduled to appear in court today, where a decision will be made regarding his extradition to Russia.
According to police, the man was detained on charges related to alleged involvement in a criminal organization.
Russian authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest, accusing him of obtaining property through fraud, participating in a criminal organization, and agreeing to commit criminal offenses, police said.
The extradition process is expected to begin later today. The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed.
