23-Year-Old Man Sentenced to 13 Years in Prison for Drug Smuggling Upon Arrival in Larnaca
The Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca has sentenced a 23-year-old man to 13 years in prison after finding him guilty of importing and possessing 25 kilograms of cannabis.

According to a police statement, the man was detained on September 19 upon his arrival at Larnaca Airport from another country. During a search conducted by the Narcotics Division (YCAN), officers found 45 nylon bags in his luggage, containing a total of 25 kilograms and 610 grams of cannabis.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody for questioning. After a thorough investigation by the National Investigation Agency, the case was forwarded to the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca.
