The missing 75-year-old grandfather found dead in a field in Cyprus
In the Republic of Cyprus, the 75-year-old grandfather who went missing earlier in the week has been found dead. The police are investigating the circumstances of the elderly man's death.
According to a statement from the police, Panayiotis Kleiou was reported missing because he was absent from his home since Monday. During the investigation conducted by the police with the assistance of the Civil Defense, on Tuesday afternoon, around 14:00, the missing man was found unconscious in a field in the livestock area of Ceri.
The deceased was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where the attending physician pronounced him dead.
During the initial examination of the body, no external injuries or signs of violent death were found. Analyses conducted at the scene did not reveal any signs of a committed crime.
The circumstances and causes of the 75-year-old man's death are being determined by the police.
