The hazardous waste collection point in Larnaca transitions to summer operating hours
The operating hours of the Temporary Green Zone, designated for the collection and disposal of hazardous waste, are changing in Larnaca. Summer hours will be in effect until September 30th.
According to the municipality, the Larnaca Temporary Green Zone now operates from Tuesday to Sunday, from 6:00 to 19:30, and it will be closed on Mondays.
Located on Vasilia Michaelides Street, in front of the Agios Lazaros Technical School, the Temporary Green Point encourages public use for waste disposal, significantly contributing to improving citizens' quality of life.
Materials are collected free of charge at the Temporary Green Point. Accepted items include green garden waste, wood, furniture, metals, paper and cardboard boxes, plastics, glass containers, clothing, electrical and electronic devices, cooking oils, household batteries up to 2 kg, and fluorescent lamps.
Residents wishing to transport materials from their homes to the temporary green point near the municipality's workshop in Larnaca must make a prepayment at the Cleaning Department offices and the Gardens and Parks offices. For assistance, contact the department at 24658722.
