A Fraud Suspect Wanted in Germany Caught in Paphos
In Paphos, police have arrested a man wanted by the German authorities. The 34-year-old is suspected of being involved in computer fraud.
According to the police press release, the man was arrested the previous evening at around 7:00 PM by officers from the Paphos Police Department. They located and detained the foreign national based on a European arrest warrant issued by Germany. The suspect is currently under investigation for computer fraud.
The man has been brought before the Paphos District Court, where a decision will be made regarding his extradition to Germany. A hearing is set for October 31, 2024. Today, the court will determine whether he will remain in custody until the trial.
