LED panel withdrawn from the Cypriot market: product was sold without mandatory marking and documentation

The Department of Electromechanical Services of Cyprus announced the withdrawal from the market of an LED Panel light after an inspection revealed that the product was sold without mandatory markings, an EU declaration of conformity, and the required technical documentation. The importer has announced a voluntary withdrawal and recall of the batch.
The product concerned is an unbranded LED panel with no indication of manufacturer or model. The specifications listed on the product are: 20W, AC 160–265V, 6500K. The EU importer is listed as NICOS FOTSIOS LTD (tel. 22753457).
What consumers should do: if such a panel is already installed, it is recommended to contact the responsible economic operator/seller to arrange a replacement through a licensed electrician. The department stresses that the corrective action must be effective, free of charge, and timely, with no time limitations.
Licensed electricians are also asked not to install or use this product, but to return it to the store where it was purchased and, where possible, to inform customers who already have the panel installed.
