Serious traffic accident in Agios Dometios: vehicles suffered heavy damage

A severe road traffic accident involving several vehicles occurred in the Agios Dometios area of Nicosia. As a result of the collision, the vehicles sustained significant mechanical damage, and traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted.

According to the police, the accident happened during the daytime on a busy stretch of road. The impact was so strong that one of the vehicles was spun around on the roadway, and debris was scattered across the road.

Police and emergency services promptly arrived at the scene. Drivers were given first aid, after which some of those involved were sent for medical examinations as a precautionary measure. It is reported that there is no threat to the lives of the injured, however, the damage to the vehicles is assessed as serious.

Police officers closed off the section of the road to ensure safety and clear the carriageway. Traffic was restored after the evacuation of the damaged vehicles was completed.

At present, the police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, including checking for possible speeding and compliance with traffic regulations by the participants.

Drivers are urged to be especially attentive on the roads, maintain safe distances, and observe speed limits, particularly on busy city streets.
