Two Found in Burned Car Near Limassol Were Shot
Cyprus police continue to investigate the discovery of two bodies in a burned car near Limassol. An autopsy revealed it was a double homicide—the victims were shot with a shotgun.
According to the police press service, the forensic examination of both bodies showed gunshot wounds to the head.
The medical examiner who conducted the autopsies determined that the deaths of the two men resulted from cranial trauma caused by gunshot wounds, likely inflicted with a shotgun.
Following the autopsy results, police are investigating the case as a double homicide. Evidence has been collected from the crime scene, but no weapons, shell casings, or cartridges have been found so far.
Investigators believe the murder may have occurred elsewhere, with the bodies then transported to the location where the burned car was discovered.
The completely burned car, with two charred bodies inside, was found last night in the Listovounos area, halfway between Parekklisia and Kellaki, on a dirt road 50 meters from the main road.
